This entry-level position works alongside experienced linemen to help build, maintain, and repair the electric distribution system that keeps our communities running. What You'll Do Assist line crews with construction, maintenance, and retirement of electric distribution lines and equipment. Support safe and reliable power delivery by performing inspections, testing, and routine maintenance on lines, transformers, and other electrical equipment. Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment, ensuring everything is in top working condition. Help set up work sites, including digging, climbing, and lifting, following strict safety procedures. Learn from experienced linemen and develop technical skills that will prepare you for future advancement in the utility industry. Respond to after-hours emergencies as assigned, helping restore service to members quickly and safely. Follow all federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA and National Electric Safety Code requirements. Identify opportunities for improving processes and efficiency, contributing to team success and member satisfaction. Promote positive relationships with members and the public through professional and courteous interactions. Requirements What We’re Looking For Motivated to learn and grow in the electric utility field. A team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Committed to safety, reliability, and quality work. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Able to maintain or obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
