This team player will complete or assist with electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and other trades within commercial buildings. Daily duties include working with the property management team to perform preventive maintenance, respond to service tickets, and provide a safe environment for building tenants and visitors. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: $22 to $24 per hour Medical, dental, vision and life insurance Paid time off 401K, after the initial work probation period Uniforms and Cell phone reimbursement are available at the time of hire Annual bonus based on performance PRIMARY UTILITY ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform building and systems inspections, making necessary modifications to building systems Complete Preventive and Corrective Maintenance requests professionally Work with vendors to complete contracted work orders to meet expectations Maintain records, reports, and evaluations, and provide recommendations regarding building maintenance operations Identify, materials, equipment, and supplies needed and notify lead engineer Maintain a clean engineering shop, mechanical plant, mechanical rooms, and general building appearance Follow all safety rules and regulations Perform related work as required Assist with porter duties periodically as needed QUALIFICATIONS: 1 - 3 years maintaining equipment and systems in commercial buildings Demonstrated mechanical skills and abilities with general maintenance Experience and skills in operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment Technology skills necessary to manage work order applications on mobile phone and learn to operate Building Automation Systems High School diploma or equivalent, and must be able to communicate effectively in English Occasionally work overtime to perform necessary repairs or maintenance that are necessary to complete during off-hours Must meet the occupation requirements, such as lifting 50 lbs., walking distances, kneeling, and climbing ladders. Must have reliable transportation Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check Must possess a Universal CFC certification
