The Department of Environmental Services [https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/DES] (DES) is seeking an Utility Engineering Intern will assist the Water Sewer Streets Bureau in managing the maintenance and capital planning of 1,058 lane miles of street, 443 miles of sidewalk, 525 miles of water mains, 458 miles of sanitary sewer mains, 373 miles of stormwater mains and associated structures such as manholes, catch basins, and outfalls.
Responsibilities
Assist the Water Sewer Streets Bureau in managing maintenance and capital planning for various utility infrastructures. This includes overseeing lane miles of streets, sidewalks, water mains, sanitary sewer mains, and stormwater mains.
