POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dependable and highly organized Field Coordinator (Contractor) to support electrical utility field operations in the Louisville, KY area. This role serves as a vital link between office-based leadership and field crews, ensuring work sites are properly equipped, schedules stay on track, and safety and compliance standards are upheld. The ideal candidate will bring experience in utility or construction environments and a strong focus on communication, logistics coordination, and field support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in electrical utility, construction, or energy-related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of utility operations, field safety procedures, and industry terminology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and work management/reporting tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and travel to multiple job sites.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily field activities, crew assignments, and logistical planning.
  • Ensure crews are equipped with appropriate materials, tools, PPE, and documentation prior to dispatch.
  • Monitor progress on job sites and report status updates, delays, and issues to supervisors in real time.
  • Conduct field visits to ensure safety and compliance standards are being met.
  • Assist with outage response and storm restoration planning and execution.
  • Collect, review, and submit field documentation such as timesheets, job packets, and safety reports.
  • Serve as a communication liaison between customers, contractors, and internal departments.
  • Track material usage and inventory; coordinate needs with supply and warehouse teams.
  • Support onboarding of new crew members, including safety briefings and procedural reviews.
  • Perform administrative duties such as documentation uploads, data entry, and recordkeeping.
  • Maintain accurate logs of job status, weather conditions, and field activities.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support field and operational continuity.
