JOB SUMMARY Responsible for supporting the paint department assuring parts and units are properly prepared for the priming and painting operations along with the efficient flow of parts in and out of paint.   Responsibilities include: * Following proper procedures masking of parts and units * Following procedures regarding cleanliness of state of the art spray booths    * Following proper procedures for preparing/cleaning parts and units for paint * Moving completed parts and units from assembly to paint and from paint to inspection * Assist sandblaster with hanging of parts and units to be processed * Additional items as assigned by supervisor/manager   PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY This position interacts with Paint Coordinator, Plant Manager and area supervisor.   COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS * Demonstrated ability to adhere to verbal and written work instructions * Demonstrated strong past attendance record * Strong process and detail orientation * Ability to work independently * All Armor employees are also expected to demonstrate Armor’s core values of being: * Customer Focused * Passionate about Work * Solution Oriented * Driven by Integrity   EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE * High School graduate or GED   EQUIPMENT USED Tow motor, ladders, chains, masking equipment   WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS This position will be on the manufacturing floor, they must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time.

The Utility Helper supports the paint department by ensuring parts and units are correctly prepared for priming and painting operations, managing the flow of materials in and out of the paint area. Key duties involve following procedures for masking, maintaining spray booth cleanliness, preparing/cleaning parts, and moving completed items between assembly, paint, and inspection stations.
