Description The Utility Interconnection Manager will coordinate, guide and manage utility service connection/interconnection for Greenlane charging facility projects in detailed diligence, pre-construction and construction stages. The candidate will bring subject matter expertise to the role, advising on how best to structure, design and construct sites to leverage utility assistance and programs. They will also advise on real estate development opportunities from the perspective of power access and, working alongside the Grants & Policy team, participate in strategic level meetings with various utilities. Job Details: Develop technical materials for power studies and formal service requests & reservations Review and provide critical feedback on service agreements with both third-party suppliers and utilities Technical coordination with utilities and engineering firms on service and distribution upgrade design/engineering Technical coordination with vendors regarding electrical equipment requirements and specifications Coordination with utilities on LCMS and its potential to reduce project costs and shorten deployment timeframes Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive engineering programs and activities Manages one or more programs of complex diversity and scope which are of critical importance to overall company objectives Act as Greenlane SME as it relates to electrical engineering and power management; liaise with Product as needed to ensure necessary considerations incorporated into energy management platform Performs other job-related duties as assigned Requirements 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering or utility management – EV Charging, renewables and/or energy industry experience, or a combo thereof is highly preferred Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university/college in electrical engineering or applicable work experience Must have an agile mindset and ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals Comfortable working in a remote environment with disparate teams Location/Travel: This role is remote; however, we are prioritizing candidates based on the West Coast Requires occasional travel up to 15% Essential Function: The essential function of this position requires constant operation of a computer and other office productivity tools to view, analyze, communicate, and exchange information and ideas so others will understand.
