Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Utility Operator is a general laborer that covers both yard operations and all Shipping & Receiving duties for Metal Source Recycling during second shift operations. REPORTS TO: Shipping & Receiving Manager SUPERVISES: N/A ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Create scale house tickets and data entry. Loading, unloading and sorting of materials. Operate the car pad by loading and unloading autos and properly process the auto. Operate the buy room. Snow removal when applicable Sweep all concrete and dock area to keep walk / driveways free of debris. Performs other related duties as assigned by Shipping & Receiving Manager, as an extension of the S & R team but is not a utility person to supplement production. Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position. Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Previous heavy equipment experience required. PIT License required. COMPETENCIES: Self-starter that takes initiative Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.

Responsibilities

The Utility Operator manages yard operations, including loading, unloading, and sorting materials during the second shift. They are also responsible for data entry, scale house ticket creation, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dock and concrete areas.
