Job Description As a Set-Up Utility Porter your role will include: Job Responsibilities: Shampooing carpets in convention space. Polishing marble. Operating sweepers, scrubbers, buffers, walk behinds and various other floor machines. High cleaning and/ or dusting. Emptying trashcans. Picking up trash. Cleaning glass. Polishing metals. Performing bio hazard clean-up. Any other janitorial related duties as requested. Responsible for executing the preparation, setup, and teardown of banquet areas/meeting spaces, moving furniture and stage platforms, lifting heavy objects such as chairs, tables, and dance floor sections and pushing/pulling carts and all other duties as determined by the Director of Catering and Management. The Banquet Porter interacts with guest and maintains the cleanliness of work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards & fire codes from the City of Nevada. Qualifications Job Requirements: Candidates must be able to communicate, read and write in English fluently, and comprehend and follow Banquet Event Orders and diagrams. Previous carpet, hard floor care and equipment knowledge is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times.
