MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION IN LINE WITH COMPANY OBJECTIVES:

To promote the whole range of products and services for Marlowe Environmental Services and specifically WCSEE, our wastewater treatment division into the Utility Industry mainly & occasional/specialised Commercial & Industrial markets UK. Dependant on experience, management of other sales members (but not essential) regular liaison with Marketing Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute towards setting the strategic plan for UK– Utility, Municipal & Industrial.
  • Lead, direct, motivate, coach and develop as appropriate and undertake Individual Development Plans.
  • Contribute towards setting the budgets and sales targets.
  • Set KPIs as appropriate and monitor personal performance against them so as to achieve budgets and targets.
  • Monitor progress on a monthly basis and take any necessary corrective action.
  • Provide a rolling 3 month and 6 month sales forecast, of named projects.
  • Hold regular sales and communication meetings to ensure feedback.
  • Provide feedback to the Sales Director/Head of Sales on alternative/ new technologies and markets.
  • Provide feedback to the Sales Director/Head of Sales on potential competitors or partners.
  • To contribute to the broader company initiatives as they arise including: customer service workshops and strategy workshops.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Increase the realisation of sales opportunities through the development of a diverse account portfolio (including but not limited to, Water company process/procurement/planning engineers, operational staff, consultants, and framework contractors) in conjunction with the management of existing frameworks through the active promotion of the Group’s Waste Water and Industrial Water Treatment product range and market leading customer support package.
  • Management & development of a regional business portfolio through the implementation of clearly formulated bespoke business plans to support defined business growth objectives.
  • Interpretation of specifications detailing customer needs, and by liason with others provide solutions and proposals that enable Waste Water and Industrial Effluent goods and services to be specified and sold.
  • Negotiation of framework and preferred supplier agreements with Water companies and their stakeholders.
  • Ascertain the depth of penetration of competitive products, services and ideas into the company’s existing & targeted accounts and the reporting back of these to support company marketing strategies.
  • Professional time & activity management through the effective planning of all activities, ensuring the maximisation of personal time & company resources. Timely & thorough company reporting (Sales, Forecasting, Activity, etc.)
  • To achieve and where possible exceed sales/profitability targets & agreed business objectives in line with the company’s UISP Market Strategy through the development & management of a multi-channel business portfolio, which include, but not limited to, Utility capital and hire projects and Industrial projects.
