Rotating - 08 Hour (United States of America) This is a Stanford Health Care - Valley Care job. A Brief Overview Utility Service Worker performs a variety of semi-skilled or general work relating to the maintenance and repair of buildings and repair of a variety of equipment and systems. Assist Engineering in moving and installing various Hospital equipment, nature of work involves physical effort and dexterity in the use of appropriate tools (ladder, power tools, etc.). The utility worker is assigned to take direction and assist engineers. May be assigned to perform tasks requiring less skill independently. Locations Stanford Health Care - Valley Care What you will do Assists in the maintenance and in the repair of building and furnishings throughout SHC – ValleyCare to continuously maintain interior and exterior aesthetics. Assists with the inspection, operation, maintenance, and minor repairs of equipment and systems. Makes minor repairs to all buildings, i.e. light replacement, HVAC filter replacements, door repairs, patching and painting damaged walls. Under the supervision of Engineering personnel or supervisor(s). Perform preventive maintenance on medical and non-medical equipment. Make minor repairs to all patient and non-patient equipment. Responds to calls for exterior building or leases spaces for SHC – Valley Care. Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital. C-I-CARE is the foundation of Stanford Healthcare – ValleyCare’s patient-experience and represents a framework for patient-centered interactions Education Qualifications High School graduate or GED equivalent preferred. Experience Qualifications Must have strong mechanical skills and experience with power tools Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to deal with physical demand of the job, including moving heave equipment (50-lbs) Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced changing work environment Strong knowledge on how to operate and safely use standard tools, instruments and equipment used on the job. Solves problems and identifies solutions in a timely and effective manner. Strong command of the English language with the ability to communicate across multiple levels of the hospital. Strong knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility. Knowledge of methods, tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair. Basic computer skills with the ability to use email, work ticket systems and intranet as necessary. Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $25.76 - $34.00 per hour The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
