Meriwether Godsey is looking for Utility Steward/Dishwashers at a private co-educational college preparatory boarding and day school located in Gill, MA * $19.00 Per Hour * Full-Time * 1st and 2nd shift opportunities * Free Meals and Uniforms . What the Utility Steward/Dishwasher will do: * Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans: scrape, separate, and organize items * Note and record dish-machine temperatures, reporting low temperatures or machine malfunctions immediately * Transport related supplies and assist in the setup of dining and serving areas * Clean dining and serving areas throughout and after the meal period and replenish to ensure service without interruption * Set up and use a three-compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, including sweeping, mopping floors, and removal of trash * Assist with receiving and storing food products and food preparation following correct food handling procedures to ensure food safety * Perform all duties according to food safety and sanitation best practices * Other duties, as assigned What the Utility Steward/Dishwasher will need: * Must be able to pass a background check * Previous utility/dishwasher experience required * Ability to measure products and convert units of measure * Awareness of commercial kitchen equipment and how to perform routine maintenance and cleaning * Reliability and a willingness to work in a hot, humid environment * Good communication skills and a great attitude What the Utility Steward/Dishwasher will get: * Competitive Pay, Uniforms, Meals, Training, Mentorship, and Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, etc.) Meriwether Godsey offers significant opportunities for growth and career advancement.
