As a key member of the Eau Resort & Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. ---------------------------------------- Role Summary: The Utility Steward will be responsible for completing special cleaning projects as assigned, following hotel specifications and standards. Includes cleaning and maintaining equipment and dishwashing/kitchen/cafeteria/compactor/storage areas, while assisting in other stewarding functions as assigned. We have a full-time position available. This role is a P.M. position, and all candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights. Work Schedule: 5:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M. Essential Qualifications: * Ability to satisfactorily communicate in job-related English. * Ability to count. Desirable: * High school graduate or equivalent vocational training. * Previous experience in janitorial/cleaning position. * Familiarity with proper sanitation regulations. * Certification in sanitation. * Knowledge of proper chemical handling. * Ability to communicate in a foreign language – Creole or Spanish. Essential Skills: * Ability to perform duties with attention to details, speed, accuracy, follow-through, and cooperativeness. * Ability to follow directions. * Ability to adapt to meet priority changes of workflow or requirements. * Ability to operate designated machinery. * Ability to remain extremely alert while operating machinery. * Ability to exert physical effort in transporting equipment and wares. * Ability to withstand high temperatures, moisture, and noise levels in work areas. * Ability to endure abundant physical movements in cleaning various work areas.
