We are seeking a Utility Technician (THIRD SHIFT - WEEKENDS) - The Utility Technician will perform operational, and basic maintenance functions on the facility grounds, silo, bag house, classifier, boiler room and saw dust trailers. Responsibilities Include: Support saw dust trailer loading operations. Communicate dispatching of full and empty trailers Maintain visual / operation control of fuel level in the silo. Provide and maintain boiler condensate water chemical testing. Control boiler condensate wastewater tank levels. Maintain boiler soft water chemistry. Control boiler ash barrels (empty/full.) Support annual boiler inspection. Maintain housekeeping for boiler room, silo/bag house, and saw dust trailer areas. Basic PM’s: boiler ID Fans, rotary locks, motors, ash collectors, classifier. Basic PM’s boiler Feed Systems: auger bearings, chains, gearboxes. Support snow removal. Cut grass, weed, general lawn maintenance. Pickup and/or and crush cardboard for weekly recycling. Requirements We seek the following: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic mechanical / electrical repair experience a plus. Experience with snow plow, lawn maintenance equipment desired. Organization skills. Good communication skills, with the ability to read, write and apply simple math skills.
