Responsibilities
  • Clearing snow; spreading sand on icy roads, walkways and entrances.
  • Performing general site maintenance and grounds-keeping duties as directed, including the operation of powered equipment, both hand-held and ride-on.
  • Operating diamond drilling equipment, including use on scaffolds or other difficult locations.
  • Providing trades assistance/support on work projects.
  • Providing support for digging, excavating, and shoring.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Carrying out disposal duties and picking up waste – active and inactive.
  • Clearing brush, ditches, and fire breaks.
  • Carrying out road repair functions (potholes, crack sealing) as needed.
  • Erecting fencing and barricades.
  • Tracking grounds maintenance materials, waste disposal logs, and recycling.
  • Moving furniture, construction materials and other heavy items.
  • Carrying out landscaping functions.
  • Observing all plant regulations, especially safety, health and radiation hazard control regulations.
  • Performing pre and post-trip checks on equipment used each time and filling out required vehicle/equipment logbooks.
  • Reporting deficiencies to supervision as noted.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
