JOB SUMMARY

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Lead Nurse and UTT treatment within a doctor’s surgery in Torrington.
Castle Gardens Surgery is looking to employ a full time, permanent lead nurse to manage the clinical team comprising of 5 nurses, 2 HCA’s and a Phlebotomist.
This position has become available due to our Lead Nurse retiring.
We are looking for an experienced lead nurse to support and manage a dedicated team. The lead nurse will ensure high quality patient care is provided and drive clinical excellence. You will develop staff potential and motivate your team though mentoring, appraisals and learning events. You will contribute to quality improve initiatives. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

· NMC registration
· Minimum of Degree level education or equivalent
· A minimum of 3-5 years Post Qualification Experience
· Proven experience in patient care and team management within a clinical setting.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.

The post holder is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and effective Nursing Care to the practice population. As the overseeing manager for the Practice Nursing Team the role will provide clinical direction and leadership for these professionals. The role will include oversight of clinical policies and procedures, infection control and day to day delivery of clinical care. This is a brilliant opportunity for either an experienced Nurse Lead looking to develop in an innovative single site practice or for a Nurse looking to take the next step in their career.
