JOB SUMMARY

The Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity advances societal prosperity by integrating value-creating business innovation with health enabling practices. The Center is housed at the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter, a living-learning community that is home to students and professionals dedicated to a shared vision for the betterment of people and the planet. The Center is seeking a motivated and outgoing student intern to assist with Prosperity U programming in the 25-26 academic year. Prosperity U is a transformative student experience focused on improving economic, social, and personal well-being across communities. Prosperity U hosts many events throughout the academic year including a speaker series, community and social events, book clubs, concert series, service projects, and other activities.
The selected candidate will be hired to assist with event preparation and logistics including event set up, event breakdown and clean up, and provide staffing support during events. Events generally are held in the evenings and on weekends occasionally. The selected candidate would be required to work generally between the hours of 4:00 pm and 11:00 pm but hours could vary. Schedules would be communicated to intern 2 weeks in advance, but assistance could be requested on short notice during busy times. Interns will be required to work 5-10 hours per week generally.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with set up of events
  • Assist staff and leaders with execution of events
  • Provide logistical and administrative support such as tracking attendance
  • Ensure meals are set up and delivered
  • Ensure space is clean and items are put away after events
  • Engage with students and address questions in a positive manner
  • Manage event flow and report any concerns to on-site supervisor
  • Provide feedback on events
  • Other duties as assigned
