Qualifications

  • 3-6+ years of experience in UX design and research
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Information Architecture or Information Technology preferred
  • 1-4+ years of experience designing for security software
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles
  • Knowledge of user research practices and when/where to apply them
  • Eagerness in learning how to work cross-functionally with adjacent teams
  • The ability to translate complex requirements into action items, and execute on them
  • An understanding of the capabilities of coworking teams, and how to collaborate effectively
  • The ability to create wireframes with meticulous attention to detail that can stand on their own, with quality high enough for client demos, and careful precision for implementation by engineering
  • Knowledge of accessibility in design, and application of best practices (e.g., 508 compliance, ADA compliance)
  • Afundamental understanding of user experience role in the software development lifecycle
  • Experience implementing UX best practices in customer-facing portals and data visualizations
  • Experience working in an Agile environmen
Responsibilities

BlueVoyant is seeking an UX Designer and Researcher to join our growing Cyber Defense Platform design team. As the UX Designer and Research, you will collaborate with engineers, other product managers, the client success team, and business stakeholders to craft the vision and design for our Cyber Defense Platform. In doing so, you will help our users understand and navigate critical systems used to identify and resolve security risks. We are looking for someone who excels at working collaboratively with key stakeholders, is comfortable giving and receiving actionable feedback, and prioritizes the user in every step of the design process.
