Description

WE ARE HEYCAR

Since August 2019, we’ve been making it easier for customers to find the right vehicle, and for automotive retailers to sell them.
More recently, we’ve been on a journey…
In June 2025 we were acquired by Volkswagen Financial Services UK (VWFS UK) and our mission is simple: build the right tech solutions for Volkswagen Group UK and its retailers, so they can deliver the best possible experiences to their customers.
We’re a mix of problem-solvers, innovators, and team players who care about doing great work and making a difference. We thrive on collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to excellence. We deliver impactful solutions at pace that put the customer at the centre.
If you’re looking for a meaningful challenge, and want to help shape the future of automotive experiences, then read on…

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE :

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our team and help revolutionise automotive experiences. As part of the Product Team you’ll be designing for two distinct but connected audiences. Focusing across both B2B and B2C means you’ll tackle diverse design challenges, from consumer-facing discovery journeys to internal tools, all while working collaboratively with product, engineering, and marketing teams.
You’ll own the entire design process - from conducting user research and defining problems to crafting beautiful, functional solutions that make a real difference. If you thrive on variety, love solving complex problems, and want to leave your mark on an industry ripe for innovation, this could be the perfect opportunity.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • You’ll work collaboratively with product, engineering and marketing teams to design products, features & assets across the entire product suite, turning complex challenges into beautifully simple solutions that truly solve customer needs with a high level of craft and attention to detail
  • You’ll document pattern libraries and style guides, updating as we evolve
  • Build product knowledge by speaking to internal experts, monitor feedback channels, speak with users, review usage and data.
  • Set up, run, and synthesise learnings from user research studies and benchmarking to help inform what use cases and improvements we should focus on. You will create final, polished art that may include UI or printed assets
  • You’ll curate and design web pages that balance user experience with SEO best practices, ensuring content is discoverable while maintaining design integrity and usability
