UX DESIGNER - INTERMEDIATE:

On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a UX Designer - Intermediate for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

UX DESIGNER - INTERMEDIATE - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project involves designing and iterating user interfaces for various digital projects, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. The UX Designer will work on new development projects, focusing on user-centered design principles to enhance product functionality and user satisfaction.

UX DESIGNER - INTERMEDIATE - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Miro.
  • Experience designing and delivering wireframes, user stories, user flows, and prototypes optimized for various devices and interfaces.
  • Experience facilitating user experience design research using methods like user interviews and usability testing.
  • Strong communication skills to design content that meets user needs and simplifies complex processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in agile, sprint-based development environments.

UX DESIGNER - INTERMEDIATE – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Previous digital assessments experience within OPS/Public Sector.
  • Experience using a design system, preferably the Ontario Design System.
  • Previous Public Sector/OPS experience.
Responsibilities
  • Create effective, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces.
  • Design the overall functionality of the product to ensure a great user experience and iterate based on user-testing feedback.
  • Design user interfaces for digital displays, publications, and other creative materials.
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys, and translate findings into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Lead design ideation and deliver design deliverables such as service design blueprints, information architecture, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Collaborate with Business, Product, and Development teams to facilitate product and service design vision and concept.
