Description
At Frends iPaaS, we're redefining how integrations and automation work — making them fast, easy, and transparent for thousands of users worldwide. Our UX practice is growing, and we need someone who wants to own the experience, not just execute tickets. We’re now hiring a UX Designer & Researcher to join our R&D team. Who We're Looking For We're not looking for someone who has done this exact job before. We're looking for someone who is hungry to shape it. This role is primarily about design, but the best candidate will also be curious enough to go talk to users, run a usability test, or sketch out a journey map when the team needs it. You won't have a researcher sitting next to you on day one — so you'll need to be comfortable filling that space when it matters. If you're the kind of person who asks "but why does the user need this?" before opening Figma, we want to hear from you. What You'll Own The end-to-end UX of a complex, globally used integration platform — from early concepts to shipped features Interaction design for things like automation pipelines, dashboards, and API tooling — genuinely hard problems worth solving A seat at the table with product managers, developers, and leadership — your voice shapes what gets built and why The early foundations of a UX research practice — running usability tests, gathering user feedback, and turning it into something the team can act on UX standards and patterns that will outlast any single feature You're Probably a Fit If... You have a portfolio that shows how you think, not just what you've shipped You've designed complex, multi-step workflows or data-heavy interfaces before — and you know how hard it is to make them feel simple You're comfortable with ambiguity and can drive toward clarity without waiting to be told what to do You've done at least some user research — interviews, usability tests, anything that got you out of your own assumptions You can explain your design decisions clearly to engineers, product managers, and stakeholders who don't share your vocabulary You know Figma well enough that it doesn't slow you down You're curious about what AI means for design work — not just as a productivity hack, but as something that might genuinely change how we think about the craft You'll Stand Out If... You've worked in enterprise SaaS, B2B tools, or anything with a technical user base You've built or contributed to a design system You have experience with UX artifacts like journey maps, personas, or service blueprints You've worked in a small or scaling team where you had to figure things out as you went What We Offer A real ownership stake in a UX practice that's still being shaped — your decisions will matter Close collaboration with a Head of UX who wants to build something great, not just maintain the status quo A product that's genuinely complex and interesting to design for Trust, freedom, and flexibility: Enjoy our low hierarchy and flexible and relaxed organizational culture. Flexible Work Mode: Enjoy modern, flexible working times and hybrid work options. A company that's growing fast across 16 countries, with the stability and ambition to match One Last Thing We mean it when we say we're not hiring for a checklist. If you read this and thought "I could do most of this, and I'd love the challenge of the rest" — that's exactly the energy we're looking for. Send us your portfolio and tell us what excites you about this kind of work. Read from our blog why talents choose Frends and why Frendszies stays with us. Interested in joining us? Would you like to become a key part of our growing team and help us create the best integration community in the industry? Get in touch, and let´s connect! Additional Information The role will be filled as soon as the right person is found. The start is flexible according to your situation. The role requires professional written and spoken English. We prefer locations near our office in Espoo, Finland as we would like you to visit the office from time to time. Our recruitment process includes three to four discussions (digital and live). To ensure a smooth and informative process, you will meet at least our People Integrator, CTO, and Head of Design. Portfolio and reference checks are also included in our process.
