UX Designer
$68,103 - $84,448 / year minimum starting pay
Job Level: Individual Contributor
Location: Corporate Office – Columbia, Missouri
Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
What You Will Be Doing:
Support key business functions by providing user/customer experience and design expertise. May be embedded in a development team to provide support for customer facing applications and websites. This role will be a member of the Digital Strategy team and support other corporate projects.

What We’re Looking For:

• Understanding of user experience and customer experience concepts and practices.
• Experience with data analysis and interviewing, along with working knowledge of design systems.
• Familiarity with web site design and design tools.
• Adaptable and quick to learn new technologies, with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Educational background in human factors, psychology, communications, journalism, design or other related fields or prior experience in communication, journalism or design roles.
• Success in a Junior Designer role or equivalent position.
• Typically, at least three years of experience in a design role or a portfolio demonstrating quality of work.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
