MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design (Graphic, Interaction, HCI, Product design) or related field.
  • 5+ years in UX design for digital products across multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, touchscreen).
  • Portfolio demonstrating design work from concept to shipped product, including usability testing insights.
  • Proficiency in Figma (or similar) for wireframing, prototyping, and design systems.
  • Experience conducting usability testing and applying findings to improve designs.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate design rationale and influence stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript capabilities and constraints.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with complex system design (web-based applications for data analysis; scientific domain a plus).
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and defining user-centered KPIs.
  • Experience building or extending design systems.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG).

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

We’re seeking a senior-level UX Designer/Researcher to help define and shape the user experience of the software used to execute experiments and analyze data on complex analytical lab instrumentation. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with product teams to conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, and design intuitive interfaces that meet both user needs and business goals. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to simplify complex workflows are essential. Experience with responsive design, usability testing, and iterative design processes is a plus.
