About this role We are looking for a VP of Product Design to craft and deliver outstanding user experiences across our range of digital products. This role entails hands-on leadership: you will function as both a team member and a manager for a small team (2 individuals reporting directly to you). You will oversee the entire product design process — from research and issue identification, through conceptual investigation and prototyping, to detailed design delivery and close partnership with engineering. About the role Lead Leadership & Strategy Define and communicate a clear product build vision aligned with company objectives. Drive invention excellence across the lifecycle, ensuring user-centered practices are embedded in every phase. Advocate for building quality and usability at executive and cross-functional forums. Hands-On Product Building Conduct and synthesize user research, collaborator interviews, and data analysis to inform build direction. Build journey maps, workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and final high-fidelity UI specifications. Ensure builds translate seamlessly into development by partnering closely with engineering. Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of designers, encouraging a collaborative and high-performing culture. Provide feedback, mentoring, and clear career development paths. Promote guidelines in invent systems, accessibility, and documentation. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with Engineering and Business collaborators to identify issues, outline possibilities, and rank solutions. Translate complex requirements and data sets into clear, actionable build solutions. Represent the voice of the user in decision-making at all levels. About you 7+ years of experience in product development / UX/UI BFA degree or equivalent experience in HCI or a related field Proven ability to own end-to-end construction in data-intensive, complex web applications. Experience collaborating throughout the product life cycle: conducting research, ideating, crafting prototypes, conducting tests, crafting high-fidelity interfaces, and transitioning for implementation. Proficiency in Figma Experience with crafting complex data-dense applications, business analysis, and teasing out requirements. Proven ability to mentor and lead a team while still producing high-quality build work. Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills. Highly Desirable Working financial knowledge and/or previous experience in a financial company Portfolio Portfolio with case studies that demonstrate end-to-end product development, showcasing how you approached and solved complex problems – ideally data-dense desktop applications. Candidates who proceed to in-person interviews will be required to perform a UX development exercise, which they will then present to the team.
