Are you a curious student with a passion for understanding user behavior, needs, and preferences? Are you eager to refine your skills in research methodologies while contributing to meaningful projects? F-Secure is looking for a UX Research Trainee to join our design community for the summer of 2025.
This is your chance to collaborate with experienced researchers, sharpen your expertise in interviews, surveys, usability testing, and observational studies, and gain hands-on experience in shaping user-centric digital experiences. As a UX Research Trainee, you’ll work closely with our Technology teams to uncover insights that inform the design and development of products and services, helping us achieve our mission of providing peace of mind in everyday digital moments.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Basic understanding of user research methods, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
Familiarity with tools like Google Forms, Miro, or other research-related platforms is a plus.

SOFT SKILLS:

A natural curiosity about user behavior and a passion for solving user problems.
Strong communication and storytelling skills to convey research findings effectively.
A collaborative and proactive mindset, eager to learn and contribute.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Ongoing or recently finished studies in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, UX Design, or related fields.
Relevant coursework or projects demonstrating your interest and experience in user research.

Conducting user research through methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and observational studies.
Analyzing and synthesizing research findings to uncover actionable insights.
Collaborating with design and Technology teams to inform product development and improve user experiences.
Assisting in the creation of research plans, reports, and presentations to share findings with stakeholders.
This is a fixed-term opportunity for the summer of 2025, offering 3–6 months of hands-on experience in UX research. The program begins in May or June, with flexible working options at our Helsinki or Oulu offices or remotely within Finland.
