MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Someone with a broad knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Experience executing mixed methods research tasks in the enterprise, and/or complex B2B systems and applications, and conducting research in remote and distributed environments.
  • Ability to multitask and operate as a consultant across multiple product areas.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data, and provide guidance to product managers, designers, and engineers on how to act on the findings.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with collaborative and rapid prototyping tools (e.g., Figma), analytic tools (e.g., Pendo, ThoughtSpot, Gainsight), AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notebook LM) and common UX research and reporting tools (e.g., UserTesting.com; Google Slides, Forms, Sheets).
  • Aptitude for learning complex technological concepts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. or M.S. in human computer interactions (HCI), human factors, cognitive science, anthropology, sociology, psychology, or related fields.
  • 3-5+ years research experience working within a technical environment.
  • Proven experience working with multi-disciplinary teams (Research, Design, Engineering, Business, R&D, and others) to ideate, iterate, launch, and refine new product designs.
  • Experience writing SQL queries, crafting interview guides, writing surveys, or using data analytics/statistical tools like R is a plus.
    Celigo reasonably expects to pay a base salary between $140,000 and $160,000 per year for this position. Actual starting base pay will be determined by skills, experience, geographic location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, benefits, or other perks as outlined in any formal employment offer made.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Principal UX Researcher and Product Analyst in uncovering user needs and pain points and finding insights inside of behavioral data sets.
  • Execute qualitative research tasks, such as conducting and summarizing moderated qualitative interviews and coding unmoderated usability tests.
  • Execute quantitative data analysis tasks, such as the generation of simple SQL queries and the pulling and analysis of data from tools such as Pendo and ThoughtSpot.
  • Explore existing qualitative and quantitative data sources to identify themes, discover new research opportunities, and accelerate answering key user-centric questions for stakeholders in Design and Product Management.
  • Support research operations tasks such as recruitment and knowledge sharing.
  • Advocate for user-centered design by prioritizing user research and data-driven insights over subjective feedback, ensuring that design decisions are rooted in user needs and behaviors.
  • Act as a champion and advocate for good user experience, sharing best practices and demonstrating curiosity about customer needs and behaviors.
  • Transform research insights into practical design solutions thereby maximizing the impact of research efforts.
  • Help peers to effectively utilize user research findings and usage metrics to guide and improve design decisions.
  • Help to accelerate team efficiency by improving operations and workflows within the team and broader cross-functional teams.
  • Influence stakeholders across functions to gain support for research-based, user-centric solutions.
