WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our mission at IL is to empower teachers & learners with the most loved learning platform. Therefore our design experiences are based on user needs. It is crucial for us to be customer centric and understand our end users (teachers, learners and authors) thoroughly. In order to do that we need to listen what our users need, feel and experience when they teach and learn.
The goal of the Research Operations (ROPS) team is to scale UX research and amplify the use of insights and user feedback to create a continuous feedback loop that supports customer centric decisions at ILPT.
We are looking for a passionate and driven UX Researcher to help us create accessible, functional and engaging products and services that are meaningful to teachers and learners. You will be part of the Research Operations team, that supports UXR by building the tools, resources and processes that we need to conduct research that is of high quality and efficient.
As part of the ILPT ROPS team, you will play a crucial role in supporting teams with UX research, so they can focus on improving the user experiences for our digital solutions.
You will support in areas like facilitating access to users, interviewing, tool and resource management, process optimization, compliance, training, logistics and sharing insight or research outcomes.
What are examples of initiatives you will be part of?

Building a user-panel, a community of users that are willing to participate in research for ILPT.
- Streamlining processes and practicalities to enable DIY research and building a research repository.
- Use AI to automate analysis and support customer centric decision making.
- Building smart research ‘solutions’ to support DIY will be more a focus than performing the actual research.
You collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and developers to enable them to do research and take customer centric decisions to enhance user experiences. Ideally you have a good understanding of UX research methodologies and a “hands on mentality”.
WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE?
- You are familiar with qualitative and quantitative methods for UX research, prototype testing and CX measurement.
- You have experience in doing interviews for UX research projects.
- You are familiar with the SVPG product development of quickly iterating and testing. Experience with the design thinking approach and how to find appropriate research solutions to support design thinking is a plus.
- You work together with other researchers in Infinitas Learning to align practices and optimize research, measurements and processes so that we can synthesize and share the biggest customer needs and pain points across the different publishers.
- You are curious and enjoy sharing acquired knowledge and insights with others.
- You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and, by being aware of their needs, you find appropriate ways to help them with insights.
- You have a strong empathy for users and a passion for understanding user needs and behaviors.

Responsibilities:
Main (ongoing) activities you will perform:
- Planning & project management: Create and keep an accurate and standardized overview of research requests and projects, to ensure that research project are going as planned.
- Recruitment: You will be involved in recruiting users for research, involving planning, screening, scheduling, ensuring privacy compliance, and handling the incentives.
- Support user research: You give teams guidance in doing user interviews, creating surveys or implementing more focused feedback requests (within the platform).
- Usermanagement and support: you give stakeholders support or access to research tools.
You will also be involved in the following:
- Create templates, training or guidelines: to support DIY and make research more efficient.
- Data analysis: You develop solutions / find ways to support the (automated) analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to derive actionable insights that inform design decisions.
- Report findings: Document and present research findings and share them with stakeholders across the company, ensuring that the user perspective is considered in decision-making processes.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other publishers to integrate user feedback into product design and development processes or align on research.
- Advocate: Ensure that user needs are prioritized throughout the product development lifecycle and that collegues know where to find the most important insights (& how to use them).
