We’re on the lookout for a curious and proactive UX Researcher to join our Product Design & Research team at tombola.
In this role, you’ll be the voice of our players – uncovering their needs, behaviours, and motivations to shape the future of our products. Working closely with Product Managers, Designers, Analysts, and more, you’ll make sure player insight is at the heart of every decision.
From usability testing and interviews to journey maps and personas, you’ll bring our players’ stories to life, inspiring teams across tombola to create simple, fun, and responsible experiences.

What you’ll be doing

• Plan, design, and deliver research studies across the product lifecycle.
• Turn research into actionable insights and compelling stories.
• Collaborate with product squads to embed player perspectives in every decision.
• Champion experimentation, iteration, and evidence-based design.
• Build and maintain our research repository so insights are shared and re-used.
• Explore how AI can support research responsibly.

What we’re looking for

• Hands-on UX research experience across discovery and evaluation.
• Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills to influence decisions.
• Collaborative and adaptable – comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Curious about using AI tools thoughtfully in research.

Bonus points if you have

• Experience in online gaming, gambling, or entertainment.
• Knowledge of UserTesting, accessibility, or inclusive research practices.
• Experience facilitating workshops or managing research repositories.
