Description

UX Design Strategist Location: Remote (US-based)
Department: Creative & Content Reports to: Creative Director Overview We’re looking for a UX Designer with a strong strategic mindset to help lead the early phases of our digital projects—from defining user needs to mapping scalable, content-driven experiences. You’ll be the go-to for bringing structure to ambiguity, aligning user goals with business needs, and turning insights into clear, actionable experience plans.
You’ll collaborate closely with designers, developers, and content creators to build experience frameworks that guide how we structure, design, and evolve websites and digital products. Your work will lay the foundation for smart, user-first design across industries and platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own the UX strategy phase of projects, developing user journeys, experience flows, information architecture, and wireframes
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, content creators, and strategists to define experience frameworks across key screens and user flows
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to bring clarity to complex requirements and prioritize what matters most to users
  • Partner with content leads to plan page-level content and messaging that supports user goals
  • Guide early discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews to gather insights, define personas, and align on goals
  • Present UX thinking to clients and internal teams, facilitating feedback and alignment
  • Contribute to the evolution of our design practice by building tools, templates, and documentation
  • Support the development of project case studies and internal learning moments by capturing strategy work

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in UX design or experience strategy
  • Strong experience defining IA, user flows, journey maps, and content structures
  • Familiarity with modern CMS platforms (e.g. Storyblok, and Contentful) and how UX intersects with content models
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate strategy in simple, clear terms
  • A collaborative mindset and comfort working across disciplines (design, dev, content, and marketing)
  • Comfort working in Figma, Miro, Lucid, or similar tools
  • Bonus: Ability to extend wireframes into page designs using an existing component/block library in Figma
  • Bonus: experience with analytics, SEO best practices, or user testing.

Success Metrics

  • Deliverables clearly align with both user goals and business priorities
  • UX documentation is comprehensive, structured, and easily understood by design and dev teams
  • Projects move into design with minimal ambiguity or revision due to strong upfront planning
  • Positive feedback from internal team and clients on clarity and impact of UX strategy
  • Templates and tools created improve future project workflows
