Description

POSITION CHARACTERISTIC:

The UX department at Vodafone is responsible for preparing, researching, prototyping, testing, and implementing designs that enhance customer experience and drive service sales on Vodafone’s websites and applications. We are looking for a leader who will mentor a small team of experienced UX designers and collaborate closely with departments such as Online Sales, Brand Marketing, and Product Managers responsible for Vodafone’s entire digital presence.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in designing websites or applications, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of UX tools, especially Figma.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with tools like Hotjar and Adobe Analytics.
  • Practical experience with usability testing or user research.
  • Systematic work within a shared Design System.
  • Experience in complex matrix organizations such as banks, telcos, or e-commerce.
  • Ability to navigate complex technological environments and find common ground with teams from Marketing, Sales, Technology, and Projects.
  • Fluency in both, Czech and English.
Responsibilities
  • Develop UX designs for websites and applications within Vodafone’s Design System.
  • Lead and mentor the UX design team.
  • Analyze user behavior on the web and in apps and improve user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate on the development of websites from the perspective of online sales and conversions.
  • Represent the UX team and their work within the company.
  • Drive a design-centric approach to product development to increase the quality and customer satisfaction of our digital assets.
  • Bridge business teams creating demand on digital products with Product Owners who have in-house development teams.
  • Manage and allocate the scarce capacity of Designers across product development squads and business teams to maximize the impact of design.
  • Define the scope and blueprints for customer journeys and support the team to execute these blueprints.
  • Work on efficient rituals and cooperation within and outside the design team, including design reviews and Agile ceremonies with product teams.
  • Represent the customer and advocate Human-Centered Design (HCD) across Vodafone through Design Thinking and our Design Studio platform.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders in Vodafone Group, who manage centralization of Design best practices, Design Systems, and code-reusability.
