We’re looking for an experienced UX/UI designer to join our team and create intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centered designs for digital products and platforms.
Collaborating closely with teams of analysts, designers, developers, and client partners, you’ll take ownership of key design projects that contribute significantly to the overall experience.
Note: We work from the office three days per week and are based near the Metro Centre in Gateshead.
We have an immediate start for a fixed-term 2-month contract as well as a permanent opportunity available.
The Role

Responsibilities

UX Design

Assisting with user research to understand target audiences, user behaviours, needs, and pain points.

Helping define user personas, user journeys, information architecture, and wireframes.

Designing and prototyping interactive experiences using Figma and Sketch.

Working closely with stakeholders to ensure designs align with business objectives.

UI Design

Developing high-fidelity mock-ups and visual designs that align with brand guidelines.

Creating design systems, style guides, and reusable components for the perfect development handover.

Ensuring designs are optimised for various devices, implementing responsive and adaptive design principles.

Collaborating with developers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs and maintaining design integrity during implementation.

Collaboration & Communication

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketing teams.

Presenting design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and justifying design decisions.

Iteration and Continuous Improvement

Working with our UX and Insights teams to analyse data from analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar) to inform design decisions.

Staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design.

Identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement within the design workflow.
