Position Summary: This course extends understanding of the interactions between people and systems in order to complete tasks and achieve goals. Students will learn basic principles and conceptual models for the study of human interaction including task analysis and methods for gathering data about physical, cognitive, affective, and social interaction. Students will learn to analyze interaction data and will develop skills to apply human factors principles to the analysis, design, and evaluation of systems including touch, vision, natural language, 3-D audio, virtual reality, and spatial displays.

QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED:

  • Master’s Degree

QUALIFICATIONS – OTHER:

  • PhD with strong emphasis on Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Systems Engineering, Cognitive Psychology, or Interaction Design is preferred
  • Two or more years experience teaching at the college or university level; graduate level teaching experience is an asset
  • Experience teaching or providing training in UX
  • Prior experience teaching Adobe Suite and Figma
  • Demonstrable expertise in web design or UX is preferred
  • Experience in creating UX portfolios is an asset
    Salary: $9,206.40 subject to CA 25.2
