Job Description You will be responsible for delivering consultancy services to clients (Owner or Lender) for renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on solar and/or wind power developments. This includes activities related to Owner’s Engineer and Technical Due Diligence missions for projects across Southeast Asia, and particularly in Vietnam. Owner’s Engineer Services Conduct site assessments and (pre)feasibility studies. Perform system pre-design, optimization, and technical due diligence. Manage tenders: prepare and update technical specifications, evaluate EPC/Contractor bids (technical and commercial review). Review designs to ensure compliance with international and national standards. Support project execution, including supervision of works and performance measurements (for Solar: PR testing, IV test, IR drone inspection, solar panel testing). Provide technical assistance during the operation phase. Technical Due Diligence Services Conduct site selection, data collection, and site visits (installation quality, O&M review). Review developer capabilities and project documentation. Assess energy yield, curtailment, and grid availability. Review key design elements (technology, wind mast structure, load profile analysis). Evaluate CAPEX, OPEX, and technical assumptions within financial models. Review permits, licenses, and compliance documentation. Qualifications Education Engineering degree (Renewable Energy, or equivalent). Experience Minimum 2 years of proven experience in the design, development, construction, or operation of solar and/or wind energy projects (experience in hydropower is an additional asset). Prior experience in Vietnam or Southeast Asia is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of local market dynamics, regulations, and project environments. Skills and Knowledge Proficiency in international standards (IEC and equivalents). Strong technical and analytical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD. Familiarity with PVsyst or equivalent solar PV simulation software (knowledge of wind energy software is a plus). Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); Vietnamese or French would be an advantage. Soft Skills Strong coordination and reporting abilities. Autonomy, adaptability, and cultural awareness. Motivation to work on international renewable energy projects in a multidisciplinary environment.
