Our Nursery is a vibrant space where plants are nurtured and prepared for sale to our community, it's a great place where garden enthusiasts come together to share their love for nature. We are seeking passionate volunteers to join our team. Key responsibilities: Gardening activities: Applying a wealth of gardening knowledge and experience to regular maintenance such as potting, planting, pruning, mulching, propagation, composting and watering, as well as ongoing seasonal tasks to keep the Nursery productive and pest-free. Provide general upkeep of nursery grounds. Garden equipment: Bringing a good dose of responsibility, ensure tools and equipment are properly checked, used and stored, with particular attention to ensuring they are maintained in safe working order at all times. Qualifications and skills (desired/required): Knowledge and experience in plants, soils, seasonal maintenance. Confident using and caring for gardening tools and equipment Level of fitness to undertake gardening activities, including digging and lifting soil Willingness to learn and take direction Good communication skills, both listening to and conveying information/ideas/suggestions Background check requirements: Background checks play an important part in our commitment to being a safe organisation.
