Working within a commercial café facility, the Cafe Team Member plays a key role in supporting our community by providing consistent and reliable food service in a safe, welcoming place. The role assists with preparing and serving beverages and food under the guidance and support of the Café Manager. An ideal role for those who enjoy food service in a team environment. Key responsibilities: Meal preparation and service: With guidance and instruction from the Café Manager, Café Team Members prepare beverages and food according to the planned menu, and provide service to customers Set up and clean up: With a keen eye for neatness and hygiene, Team Members assist with initial set up, clearing of tables, pack up, wash up and waste disposal Manage stocks and storage: Applying high regard for food safety standards, Team Members assist with ensuring food stocks are replenished and within use by dates, and all food items are stored and labelled correctly. Qualifications and skills (desired/required): Experience in food preparation, handling and service Relevant food handling qualifications as required by local council authorities Background check requirements Background checks play an important part in our commitment to being a safe organisation.
