DESCRIBE THE DEPARTMENT

Supply Chain Operations is part of Vestas’ growing and dynamic Service Business Unit. The department runs our warehouse operations, the backbone of our supply chain, in our Mediterranean (MED) sales business unit. Our MED Warehousing & Operations team supports the business by securing timely availability and reliability on delivery of spares, main components, and tools. We are now looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to be mainly in charge of the operations in Italy and provide support to a different region if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• University Degree (Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or similar)
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience from a leading role within warehousing, logistics or supply chain activities
• Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing

As Supervisor for Warehousing your main responsibility will be to coordinate the warehouses covering Italy. You will operate our inventory and secure the supply chain performance and flow in the warehouses currently operating in the region, both Vestas owned and 3rd party owned if relevant. Other responsibilities will be to:

• Ensure that the warehouse is effective, productive and lean
• Ensure a safe warehouse for all employees
• Supervise your direct reports and support them in building high performing teams
• Support the region’s growth and warehouse footprint changes
• Coordinate and support strategic and operational improvement projects
• Collaborate and support services from third party suppliers to guarantee service level agreements and compliance of regulations procedures.
