Description We are searching for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Licensed Psychiatrist to provide onsite coverage for the Department of Veteran Affairs in Memphis, Tennessee starting as soon as credentialed. This is a 1 year contract/1099 position with option to extend. Please see further details regarding this contract below - Physician - Psychiatrist Onsite - Department of Veterans Affairs Contract Dates: ASAP/As soon as credentialed - 1 year term of service with option to extend Pay: $175/hour base pay Schedule: General Mental Health Clinic: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm Inpatient Psychiatry: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm Specialty Clinics: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm Off Hours Coverage: On call physicians must be available at all times for phone consultations with VA residents and physicians (available within 15 minutes by phone and onsite within 60 minutes). On call hours commence at 4:30pm and conclude at 8am Monday-Friday. Weekend inpatient coverage hours from 8am-4:30pm Saturday and Sunday. Scope of Care: Inpatient Care, Clinical Psychiatry Services, 95% Direct Patient Care / 5% Administrative Case Load: 6 to 6.5 patient bookable hours/day; 6 patients for an hour each or roughly 12 patients for one half-hour each; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointment per day totaling 6 to 6.5 bookable patient hours per day Requirements Full/Unrestricted, Active License in any State Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or truly Board Eligible BLS Certification ACLS Certification 1+ year of Psychiatry experience as a physician Availability to provide full time coverage for at least 1 year on this contract Clean Malpractice History and Criminal Record

Responsibilities

The Psychiatrist will provide onsite coverage for the Department of Veteran Affairs, delivering inpatient care and clinical psychiatry services, with approximately 95% dedicated to direct patient care.
