Position Summary: Cinterra is looking for experienced Vacuum Truck Drivers/Operators who will drive and operate vacuum trucks to perform verification (daylighting) of existing utilities on/off road, trenchless excavation for utility construction, drill mud transport & vacuum truck support for HDD and construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times. Supplying a safe, effective and professional service to our clients, Operating vacuum trucks or trailers, Completing tasks associated with vacuum truck excavation, trenching and shoring. Ensuring the job site placement of the truck is safe, stable and secure. Wearing all proper PPE once you step out of the truck. Cleaning the truck upon completion of the job. Completing all required paperwork on a daily basis. Requirements Requirements High School diploma or equivalent (required). Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement is (required). Minimum 6 months of hydrovac experience is required, 1 year is preferred. Experience with Vactor, Super Products and GAPVAX and Vermeer vac trailers/ trucks. Trenching and excavation experience is a plus. Ability to travel, as needed. Ability to be on-call for emergency response work. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more). Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain. Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Agility and flexibility to navigate construction sites and access work areas, including climbing ladders and scaffolding. Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, and tunnels. Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
