REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the holiday home/vacation rental industry
  • Strong understanding of OTA platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, etc.)
  • Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Guesty, Hostaway, Tokeet, etc.) is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of UAE VAT laws and accounting practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties/accounts
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our growing Vacation Homes Rental division. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in managing accounts related to short-term rentals, with strong knowledge of revenue tracking, online booking platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.), and property management financial operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities for the holiday home business
  • Reconcile bookings and revenue from platforms like Airbnb, Booking.com, and direct channels
  • Monitor and process guest payments, refunds, and security deposit reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, P&L statements, and cash flow projections
  • Track property expenses, utility bills, maintenance costs, and owner payouts
  • Handle VAT submissions and ensure compliance with UAE regulations
  • Liaise with property managers and operations team to ensure accurate financial records
  • Manage bank reconciliations and petty cash
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data and maintain audit-ready records
