VACUUM FORMER OPERATOR – GUELPH, ONTARIO

Starting Rate: $22.50/hour
Location: Guelph, Ontario
Shift: Training on days, with occasional afternoon work (one week at a time)
We are seeking a mechanically inclined and technically skilled Vacuum Former Operator to join our client’s production team. This role is responsible for machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and adjustments to produce products to customer specifications, while meeting productivity, quality, and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mechanically or technically skilled; able to operate small hand tools and perform simple fabrication tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to make machine adjustments
  • Ability to read production drawings and use measuring instruments
  • Grade 12 or equivalent with good math skills
  • Ability to lift and handle heavier materials as needed

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Vacuum Former machines
  • Perform preventative maintenance and follow safety lockout procedures
  • Operate Plex Control Panel and complete all required production/Q.A. reports
  • Conduct secondary/off-line operations for industrial products
  • Maintain 5S standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Sort, pack, and inspect products to meet specifications
  • Assist with cycle counting and inventory as required
