Title: Crushing Operator– Heavy Civil
Job Summary: Knik Construction, an Alaska Paving Contractor, is looking for a Crusher Operator. This person will be required to operate and maintain the plants as well as interact with Project Managers, Quality Control and Safety personnel to assure a quality product is produced and a safe working environment is maintained.

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five year related experience with Construction or Rock Crushers
  • Thorough knowledge of heavy construction equipment
  • Ability to work in high production environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
  • Pre-hire drug test

  • Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.

  • Able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates Rock Crusher Plant
  • Properly follows all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to the Project Manager or Safety Manager.
  • Maintains communication with Project Managers to ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
  • Interacts with Company Managers to ensure issues are addressed
  • Interacts with Quality Control personnel to ensure specifications are met
  • Oversees and participates in crusher maintenance
  • Communicates with Project Managers to ensure efficient and productive work completed in a timely manner
  • Ensures that accurate records of daily activities or delays are documented
  • Ensures compliance with company policy and procedures
  • Ensures safe work conditions
  • Performs additional assignments as required
