Description
We are looking for a Validation & Authority Certification Lead who will be responsible for defining the overall vehicle validation strategy and managing all regulatory and authority certification processes required for road-legal approval in target markets. In this role, you will ensure that the product meets international safety and compliance standards and is successfully certified for market entry. You will work closely with the Client’s team and selected specialists from Spyrosoft, in an international environment focused on innovative e-bike product development. Please note that this is a freelance position. The engagement begins with a B2B contract through Spyrosoft, with the potential to transition to a direct contract with our Partner at a later stage. The client based in Munich, Germany. Occasional on-site visits are required for a few days at a time to support key project activities. Requirements: Experience in product validation and regulatory certification. Strong knowledge of international safety and compliance standards. Hands-on experience with durability, safety, and performance testing. Strong analytical skills and experience in root-cause analysis. Attention to detail and a compliance-driven mindset. Fluent English, both written and spoken. Main responsibilities: Develop the complete vehicle validation and testing strategy, including the Design Verification Plan (DVP). Manage regulatory and authority certification processes (EN 15194, ISO 4210, UL 2849). Act as the primary point of contact for certification bodies (e.g. TÜV, SGS). Design and oversee laboratory testing as well as edge-case testing scenarios. Lead failure analysis and post-mortem investigations. Compile and maintain certification documentation, including the Technical Construction File (TCF).
