Role Overview Summary of Job: NorthStar is looking for 2 Cardiac Anesthesiologists to join our team in Brownsville, TX working 26 weeks on/off per year! MD will do their own cases. Approximately, 80-100 hearts per year sharing between cardiac MDAs. TEE proficiency required, certification is a plus! Mix of General and Cardiac, Physician only cases. Level 3 trauma center. Staffing Model:M-F 7a-3p: We run 9 OR’s - 5 are Autonomously covered by CRNA’s – 2 are covered by MD’s.1 CV OR & 1 OB OR are covered by their respective teams.Each “on week” is inclusive of 5 weekday shifts + 50% of all weeknight/weekend call shifts Case Mix: General, OB/Gyn, orthopedic, Neuro, urology, ENT, pediatric, dental, Endo’s, and cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. Responsibilities
