We see our role as being a driver of positive change drawing on deep skills to select, acquire, and improve the assets we own.   Who we’re looking for The Private Equity Valuation Specialist is a core member of the Fund Operations and Services team and the Operations department. It is – together with its team – responsible for monitoring and valuing our private equity investments. Reporting to the Head of Valuation, the Valuation Specialist is passionate and demonstrates a sound level of skill, experience and professionalism.  This role offers the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility in valuation governance, methodology development, and cross-department initiatives, with a clear path toward senior valuation roles within the organisation.   What you’ll do * Work in a dynamic global platform with exposure to leading private equity investments across buyout, growth and venture capital * Perform financial analysis and valuations for our monthly evergreen and quarterly closed-ended private equity portfolios * Enhance, and maintain in-house tools for financial analysis, valuation and ongoing monitoring * Take responsibility for the ongoing tracking, monitoring and benchmarking of investments over their holding period * Interact closely with internal and external parties, in particular investment management, general partners, pricing committees, third party valuation firms, auditors and regulators * Support special projects within your area of responsibility such as methodology enhancements, system automation initiatives, or the inclusion of AI workflows   The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need * University degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as business, finance or accounting.  A professional qualification (or working towards) such as the CFA would be a plus  * 3-5 years of work experience in the financial industry, preferably from a valuation and financial modelling department of a financial services firm, or from a private equity fund manager  * Proven valuation experience and familiarity with the principles and methodologies used in illiquid assets valuation * Proficiency in Excel-based modelling is required; experience with tools such as Power BI, Python, or VBA would be a plus * Strong work ethic with a hands-on, proactive mindset and the drive to deliver high-quality work in a dynamic environment * Experience in working with colleagues and stakeholders globally and sensitivity to cultural differences, time zones etc. * Excellent command of the English language; another European language would be a plus    We recognise potential, whoever you are Our purpose is to provide excellent investment performance to clients through active management.
