Description As an VS Analyst, you will help plan and execute efficient production flow for the company’s goods, data, and information. Using your strong excel and analytical skills, you will design scheduling and staffing models that optimize labor, production volume, capacity, and efficiency. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Create capacity-feasible production schedules that promote a smooth and efficient operation Work with functional departments to develop plans to efficiently use resources to produce maximum revenue Forecast long term capacity needs Propose staffing requirement based on customer needs, upcoming work, and historical data Highlight operational issues and proactively recommend activities to minimize impact to production Evaluate current customer and operational strategies and recommend improvements Gather data and develop/analyze/communicate information/results/conclusions, i.e. operational dashboard, reports, inventory, capacity, etc. Provide concise information for daily stand-up deliverables Gather necessary information for management and customer meetings Model effective communication, leadership, and partnership with other departments, suppliers, and customers Continuously grow and develop your operational knowledge and leadership capabilities by participating in professional development opportunities Alignment with Smith’s values of safety, respect, quality, integrity, open communication, and profit Consistently, regularly, and predicably be at work and on time. KEY REQUIREMENTS Communication Skills Analysts need more than math skills to estimate numerical data Analysts need to present their findings or translate the data into understandable documents Write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas Analytical Skills Develop standardized and custom reports Analysts work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and analyses Ability to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions Critical Thinking Analysts must look at the numbers, trends, and data to arrive at new conclusions based on the findings Attention to Detail Data is precise; therefore, Analysts must make sure they are vigilant in their analysis to come to the correct conclusions This position is expected to be 100% onsite. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
