Description
Coordinate and manage manufacturing engineering personnel and their activities to support production floor performance and results through lean manufacturing, Quality Systems implementation, EHS initiatives, process, utilization, product, and quality cost improvements. Lead and imlement process improvement for the production process in order to achieve optimal efficiency levels Ensure all appropriate hardware and tools are in place according to the needs of operations Support all NPI/NPR departments in the process. Support, advise and actively participate in the achievement of the key performance indicators (KPIs) identified for the product lines under their responsibilities such as Safety, Quality, Punctuality, Productivity and others as agreed with VS Manager, OPEX Manager and Mfg. Engineering Manager. Coordinate the maintenance of the documentation applicable to the product lines under their responsibility. Use its technical leverage to support the Production Control, Customer Service, Production, Quality, Manufacturing, Accounting and Materials departments. Actively participate in the implementation of improvement projects that positively impact Cost, Quality and Cycle Time. Led the Corrective and Preventive Actions assigned to the product lines under his responsibility. Assigned to support ownership of the LEAN tools for value stream mapping, standard work, staffing calculation, design of the 5S+, and compliance in areas under its responsibility. In addition, it is responsible for maintaining the applicable PFMEAs in the product lines under its responsibility. MOL (Maintenance of Line) of work stations and production areas. Replacement, additions and modifications of working tools (fixtures, workstations, manufacturing assembly devices like, lifters, cranes, etc.) Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3 years of Lean or Six Sigma Tools experience. Minimum of 1 year of New Product Introductions / Line Transferences experience. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
