JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Value Stream Manager to lead the daily operations and strategic planning of a high-performance pharmaceutical diagnostics value stream. This role is accountable for coordinating shift activities, driving cross-functional alignment, and ensuring the seamless execution of production plans while maintaining compliance, safety, and quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Operations Management, Engineering or related field.
  • Solid experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or diagnostics environment.
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and production planning tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and drive results.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the end-to-end operations of the value stream, ensuring daily targets for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and training are met.
  • Coordinate shift activities across multiple teams, ensuring effective handovers and continuity of operations.
  • Lead daily tiered accountability meetings and ensure timely escalation and resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to remove bottlenecks and optimize flow.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and improve OEE.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including yield, cycle time, downtime, training compliance, and 5S audit scores.
  • Foster a culture grounded in standard work and 5S principles, ensuring visual management, workplace organization, and process discipline are embedded in daily routines.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, HPRA, and internal quality standards across all operations.
  • Support the onboarding and development of team members, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.
  • Lead future capacity planning and resource alignment to meet evolving business needs.
  • Partner with scheduling and planning teams to ensure alignment of production plans with material availability and staffing.
  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to all EHS protocols and procedures.
