Description

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join the growing friendly Statom Plant team. If you take pride in your work and your employer, enjoy being out on the road – then we want to hear from you!
Location Thurrock (relocating to Barking within the next 12 months)
Working Hours Monday to Friday 07:00 to 17:00
Holiday 22 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
Salary £30k per annum

REQUIREMENTS

Key responsibilities

  • Delivery and collection of goods safely and efficiently to our job sites
  • Load and unload vehicles, ensuring that loads are secure at all times
  • Follow scheduled instructions and routes, and meet delivery times
  • Adhere to all site instructions and PPE requirements – safety is paramount
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and carry our vehicle checks
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times

Experience & skills required

Essential

  • Full UK driving licence (clean preferred)
  • Good driving skills and road awareness
  • Punctual, trustworthy, and self motivated
  • Basic physical fitness (lifting may/will be required)
  • Previous delivery experience to operational building sites is a bonus
  • Experience in multi-drop deliveries
  • Good understanding of English (verbal and written)
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, independently and under pressure

Desired

  • Understanding of the construction industry
  • Knowledge of construction industry tools
  • Knowledge of logistic operations
  • Knowledge/understanding of Drivers’ Hours Rules and WTD
  • Knowledge of London and surrounding boroughs
  • Knowledge of FORS requirements
