JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled VAN DRIVER/STORES ASSISTANT to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, with a focus on safety and efficiency. This role also requires the ability to communicate effectively within a warehouse environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid commercial driving licence
  • Proven delivery driver experience with a strong track record of safety and reliability.
  • Previous warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding logistics and inventory management but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Operate commercial vehicle for the safe transportation of goods to designated locations.
  • Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring proper handling of all items.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles as needed.
