We are looking for a Van Driver / School Age Teacher’s Assistant for the Kids Klub site located in Greystone Elementary School We are looking for a Driver of a 12-passenger van/mini-bus, driving students to and from the Before & After School program and engaging students in learning for the remainder of the shift. A typical day for a Van Driver/Teacher's Assistant will include: Driving company vehicle to and from schools and/or field trips. Monitoring the behavior of all children in the vehicle. Operating vehicle safely at all times in accordance with all traffic and driving laws. Checking the condition of vehicle to ensure that everything is in working order. Our programs are open Monday – Friday before school (typically 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.) and after school (typically 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.), schedules vary per program. We also offer full day programs during school vacations, summer break, and when school is not in session. Requirements We are willing to train the right person! Our ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience working with School Age children. We are looking for someone who has the following skills: A personal demeanor that is warm and friendly. Verbal and written communication skills. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Organized and able to prioritize and multi-task. Team-oriented and willing to work with others. A Chauffeur License is needed for this position. If you are interested - we will pay for the right candidate to get it! Education Requirements High school diploma (or equivalent) or higher. CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Physical Requirements Able to engage in physical exercise with children (walking, running, crawling, bending, twisting). Visual and hearing acuity. Able to lift up to 40 pounds. Other Qualifications 21 years of age or older. Able to read, write, speak and understand English, bilingual encouraged to apply.
