JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking to recruit a Driver / Warehouse Support for our Engineering client based in Norwich to assist with the delivery of fabricated products, material collections and drops, all on a local level to Norwich and associated warehouse duties as required.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

Clean driving licence,
Forklift license an advantage,
Good written and oral communication skills. Must speak and write English fluently.
Good computer skills and knowledge (Excel, Outlook and Vendor software programs, etc.) are required to be highly organised in the following areas: electronic filing and record keeping.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a company driver to conduct a crucial role in ensuring the efficient collection and delivery of goods from and to our suppliers. Your responsibilities will include maintaining timely and accurate transportation schedules, ensuring the safe handling of all items, and providing exceptional service to our partners. In addition to driving duties, the role will support warehouse activities such as stock control, inventory management, and assisting with loading and unloading goods.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver goods to and from suppliers in a safe manner, ensuring goods are kept in immaculate condition,
  • Ensuring required paperwork is collected/delivered and signed for,
  • Using GPS navigation apps and knowledge of the area to collect and deliver goods in a timely manner,
  • Load and offload goods using a forklift,
  • Ensure the van is kept in good working order,
  • Support with the booking in of goods from suppliers as and when required,
  • Assist with stock counts and the maintenance of stock records,
  • Collaborating with warehouse staff to maintain efficient operations.
  • Organising and storing items in the warehouse.
